As promised and as requested, here’s my detailed and honest-to-goodness review on Etude House Dear My Blooming Lips Talk. ♥

Last April, Etude House Philippines launched another wonderful line consists of lipsticks, blushers, powder pact and nail polishes. They are all embellished with cute pink-princessy packaging. (Oh well, it’s Etude House)

So from the line.. I got these babies:

(the look at my eyes eyeshadow isn’t included in the line.. it’s just something new i spotted: Peach Latte.. so I got it ^^,)

The rest of the products in the Dear My Blooming Line are fantastic but I focused my attention on the lipsticks coz I’ve been dying to have them from the moment I saw Shinee and Dara’s CF: KISS NOTE :*

After going through a great challenge of choosing from all the 24 wonderful shades..

Here’s what I got:

I tried one shade from the beige family— BE102

one shade from the pink family.. PK003

and another shade from the orange family.. OR204

Let’s get into the details: :)

According to Etude House’s website and the details on the box:

This Korean lipstick is magic… write the name of the person you love secretly and he will come to kiss you! Promoted bySandara(2NE1) andSHINee, the newEtude House Dear My Blooming Lips-talk Kiss Noteis the perfect lipstick for spring and summer and is available in 24 lovely & girlish shades!

- Relaxed Fitting Complex & Smooth Powder System makes smooth lips without crack.
- Moist Liquid Paste and Hydro-Moist Complex makes moist and kissable lips.

- Contains 3.4 g

- Smooth textured lipstick supplies vivid color and moist shine.

This product costs P478.00 in the stores. A fair price for a lipstick with 3.4g. 

The packaging is one of the most convincing factors why I love this lippie.

Oh gosh! Who wouldn’t love that? I cannot afford to throw away the box, it has this bar code thingy on the side in which  when scanned can show the video of Shinee and Dara’s KISS NOTE CF. Haven’t tried if it works though. :))

I really really love the details of the packaging! It’s made of plastic but NOT that cheap kind of plastic that easily cracks. And who wouldn’t notice the very adorable pink bow right there? ♥ Perfect!!! (Oh, I’m so full of adjectives now. LOL)

They’re pretty tall, right? :)

Another thing that’s very noticeable aside from the pink bow is the princessy imprint on the lipstick itself. Looks like a heart with a crown turned into a squash in a cute way.. :D 

Another plus factor of the packaging is its lock. I have some lipsticks from EH which do not have secured locks causing the cap to be easily pulled off especially when inside my makeup pouch. This lippie here has a good security guard, :P It won’t open easily but not to the point that you would have to pull a muscle. 

On to the shades I got..

BE102 is more on the brown/nude side. I originally wanted to buy BE101 but since it’s a close match to my Wanna Be Lipstick in So Chic Beige, I got this  baby instead.

Here’s a swatch on my hand and on my lips:

For the swatches, I’m not wearing anything on my lips but the lipstick. No lipstick base nor lip balm.

This shade is perfect when you want to go neutral or nude. It’s a subtle color but not too pale to make you look like a zombie. :)

NEXT:

PK003 is a tad lighter than PK004 which is one of the hot colors featured in KISS NOTE. It’s like a candy pink color close to the Nicki Minaj kind of pink. :D

This shade makes me look younger, I think XD Like, innocent pink. LOL.

Last but not the least..

OR204 is one of the hot colors. This one has an English name which is Shy Coral. This is the shade Dara’s wearing in her CF with Jonghyun of Shinee. The color is perfect for summer, an orange shade with a tinge of pink. 

Well, if we’ll put this 3 into a pageant, I guess the winner would be..

OR204 is my favorite among the three.. :) It’s really a refreshing color which I can wear everyday.

What I LOVE about Dear My Blooming Lips Talk:

• Has a creamy texture and glides on smoothly on the lips
• Provides a moist shine but not to the point that it appears glossy or shimmery. Just the right amount of shine. :P
• PACKAGING. period!
• 24 shades to choose from. You can definitely choose something h\which will suite your personality and lifestyle. (Well, I think this could be a disadvantage coz it’s really hard to choose from all the fab colors.)
• A little bit pricey but it’s all worth the content and the quality of the product
• Doesn’t melt under EXTREMELY hot weather! (I have some lippies which failed to withstand the heat and melted T_T )
• Lasting power is about 3-4 hours. Fades a little after eating and drinking but leaves a stain on the lips. Anyway, you won’t mind retouching coz it’s so cute to bring with you everywhere. :P

What I HATE about Dear My Blooming Lips Talk:

• Settles on my lip lines. :( Thus, it somehow accentuates how deep those lines are. XD
• The formulation is good enough, you just have to make sure that you exfoliate your lips properly coz this might leave your lips dry without proper exfoliation. Well, most lipsticks tend to be drying on the lips.
• It transfers easily!!! You might want to avoid touching your lips or hitting your blouse while its on your lips coz it will definitely transfer! You cannot do some  kissing also if you don’t want your partner to have lipstick too :D see?

HAHAHAHA!

You might also want to try the Dear My Milky Gloss or the Crystal Gloss. I got Dear My Milky Gloss in MBE101. I haven’t tried it though. XD

Will I but this again? YES!!! I’d like to try one from the RED family. I’m afraid of wearing red lipsticks coz I don’t think they suite me well. I want to collect all 24 shades, that is if I won’t eat for the rest of the months to come. haha! >.<

A Fair of Fun, Beauty and Friendship ♥

SUPER LATE POST. >.< It took me forever to post this. But opkors, it’s better late than never. So let’s get it on!

Everyone knows that Etude House Philippines held a very wonderful and successful event- Etude House Playhouse 2012 or the Pink Fair last April 21-22, 2012.

I was able to attend Day 1 and Day 2 coz this was something no one can’t afford to miss. Let me share with you how fabulous my 2 days of fun, beauty and friendship went. ♥

FUN O_O

Upon entering the fair, your eyes will drool over the PINK environment. Everything looked so nice. The freedom wall. The most kikay car in the universe, Betsy. The pink exhausted but very graceful Ballerina. The pink stalls and oh, sorry Tous Les Jours is in green and SELECTA is in red,. oh i see. not everything’s pink. haha!

The PLAYHOUSE stood true to its name, you get to play just as if you’re inside your house. :P There were four booths where you can exercise your athletic side. Goal in Pink Powder Spot - oversized cotton buds for oversized pimples >.<

Sweetie’s Spin- Etude House’s trademark for a free sample or a shinee fan or a “better luck next time”.

Who Am I? - where you get to throw stubborn velcro balls to where they belong.

Doll Me Up - where you’ll get the chance to doodle Dara’s face and still win a free Shinee folder. ;) 

My fave is Goal In Pink Powder Spot.. I wanna do it all day :)

Each day was filled with fun activities. Day 1 started with a talk by a flawless guy named Mr. Boram Kim. His talk was about Skin Care: Cleansing, Toning and Moisturizing the face. At the end of his ‘lecture’ the audience got the chance to ask questions and from this I learned the difference between ‘whitening’ and ‘brightening’ products. (Thanks for asking that bright question Ms. Marge, :))

BEAUTY ^^,

Day 1 featured a makeup class with a local makeup artist and Ms. Ning Hilario from MEG magazine. She did a day makeup that can easily be turned into a night makeup. Day 1 also gave the princesses the opportunity to be reminded of their poise and posture through Mr. Levenson Rodriguez’s talk on Visual Poise.

If you can’t be the model on stage, you can simply fall in line and get your own make over by the other etude house makeup artists. Yay!~ so many girls want to experience this.. when I passed by past 7pm, there’s still a line :D 

At the end of Day 1, I got two activities punched off my ticket. I reserved the rest for day 2. :) Oh there’s my ‘note’ on the wall saying “I Love Etude, that’s it! -KURN”

and that’s my nitty gritty face of the day. :P

The next day, I went with my cousin, Carizza. :) that means mooore vain shots.

Day 2 started a little bit late compared to Day 1 and it’s very noticeable that there’s not much of a crowd compared to the jam packed Day 1.

The set up was still the same with Day 1 but with a little added effect.. violinists in the house! :) and oh, a new ballerina. :P

It started off with a few remarks from the beauty queen host and some welcome speech from Mrs. Andrea Amado, Etude House Philippines sophisticated president. ^^, She’s like Gretchen Barreto with her stance.

Mr. Boram Kim continued his talk on Skin Care. This time he tackled things about pimples, acne and the ways on how to PROPERLY handle and treat them. During the Q & A part, I finally get the courage to ask him a question about Eye Products like eye creams, etc. I think he explained it pretty well it’s just that I’m astonished while he was answering my question and looking at me straight into my eyes so I didn’t understand half of what he was saying. hahaha :D

Day 2 was also my MISSING U Mascot Day. :)) We were quite early and there were few people inside, I think we were the first to take photos with these cuddly babies since we headed on to them as soon as they went out. 

They were dancing and giggling.. too bad they’re wearing ‘maong pants’ haha :D

Day 2 was also Photobooth Day for me and Clair. :) Oh how I love it.. we didn’t fall in line at all. No one’s having their photobooth while we had ours. yey!~

Day 2 was also a Yummy~ Day for me. Here are the yummy treats from the fair:

The super salty pink popcorn which left pink ewwee marks on my fingers.

Soboro Bread and French Macaroons from Tous Les Jours. :) I have to say, this is the best macaroon I’ve tasted so far. ♥

Moving on, Mr. Levenson Rodriguez had another talk, this time it’s about POWER DRESSING. I enjoyed this more than the visual poise thingy.. I can never forget one of his quoted statements from Mr. Coco Chanel, on accessories.. “when in doubt, take the last one out.”

In between, there was an intermission number from Ms. Stephanie Dan who’s a very emotional singer.. :D She sang a few songs during the middle and the end of the event.. like 5-7 songs?? I kinda thought it was her concert already. >.<

One of the reasons I was very eager to join Day 2 was because the makeup class will be done by a Korean Makeup Artist. Luckily, hours before the makeup segment, they chose my cousin to be one of the models for the makeup class on stage. Yay!~ I was so proud. like a stage cousin.. :) I loved how sophisticated she looked after the makeover. Korean Makeup Artist, Ms. Kang Younhee made a daytime smoky eye make up on her.. I admire how she did the makeup, how she gracefully brushed on her face as if the brush isn’t touching her face at all but still you can see the makeup was applied. :D Oh, gaawd, she has fabulous techniques!

She also did a Spring time look on the other cute model :)

FRIENDSHIP ♥ ♥ ♥

Etude House Playhouse Pink Fair isn’t just a fancy fair.. it’s a fair filled with friendship among the princes and princesses who have been connected by sharing the LOVE for Etude House. 

First of, my super lovely and super nice online buddies.. Andy and Clair. :) It’s our second time to meet and I hope we’ll have 3rd, 4th, 5th up to the nth meetings.  Clair was my buddy-buddy for 2 days. yay!~  I loooooove both of you! From the bottom of my hypothalamus! ♥

The night before the event, Anne Lee.. a co-tumblr blogger messaged me thru Facebook about meeting up with me, Andy and Erika.. I so0ooo love this girl.. she’s so innocent, so0o cute and so nice. I was late during Day 1 and she’s just so kind to reserve a seat for me. Thanks Anne for still supporting my blog. mwuah! :*

I finally met Erika of Erikajjang.. We’ve had several attempts to have a meet up before and this fair was like a GRAND meet-up for everyone. :) I’ve been a stalker of her blog since I started this Korean Cosmetics craze and she’s one of my inspirations in doing reviews. ♥

I also met the very flawless and very witty Ms. Marge Tan of The Travels of KikayTrekkie. :) I finally saw her talking in front of me.. haha! I used to just read her comments on my nonsense questions :D Love ‘ya Ms. Marge ^^,

Oooh, there’s just friendship, girl talks and SELCAs everywhere. ♥ Even my cousin gained a new friend, the other model during the makeup class. :D

There’s Ms. Orange and Ms. Marge too. They’re really beautiful.

Another most anticipated part of Day 2 was the announcement of the winners for the Pink Artiste Contest. The four contestants were all present and they are all gorgeous. Gosh!~ They all look fabulous in their outfits too!

I finally met Ms. Orange Tuazon, she’s been so nice to me during our chats on Facebook, and yep, she’s really pretty and nice in person too!

I’ve been telling her that she’s gonna win.. I was next to her when the winners were announced, I can feel the excitement and the pressure! then finally her name was called! Yay!~ as expected she won! yipeee *_* in her excitement she even left her iphone on her chair. geeee :P

As the event closes, everyone’s having their photos taken with him and her.. so I also got my stint. There’s my photo with Ms. Kang Younhee who made me looked like her auntie. :P (the skin,. oh gaawd!) with the hottie Mr. Boram Kim and of course, our Pink Artiste, Ms. Orange Tuazon. ♥

Before the day ends, I attended Ms. Ana Patricia Victorino- Mendoza’s Meet and Greet at KBOP. Gosh! We were super late coz we finished the event before heading to the venue. >.< Nevertheless, the few hours we shared still gave us the chance to chat, laugh and get to know each other. :)) Got to meet Eloisa Co of KikaysiMaria. (Thank you very much sis! ♥) I hope we can have another bonding moment in the NEAR future. There’s Ana and her “Pang-pageant” sister. Ana is s0oo cute. If you haven’t checked out her page and her Youtube channel..you’ve missed half of your life already. :D

Aside from the unforgettable memories, I also got to take home lots of goodies:

2 shinee folders, 2 shinee fans (I’m not a SHAWOL,btw) samples… a photobooth printout, MEG Magazine and last but not the least, the SKIN MALGEUM Kit which Ms. Rea of Etude House gave me.. I’ll be doing a review on this.. SOON! There’s also a photo of my RAPED ticket. :D

So there you have it! My own story of the Pink Fair.. A Fair of Fun, Beauty and Excitement! ^_^
